Hello dear friends and family! As followers of Christ we have all been called to a precious calling. A calling that is very close to His heart. God's desire is that no man would perish but that all nations and languages would come to the knowledge of Him and that through knowing Him they would give Him all the glory and honour that His name deserves. Scripture states that it is through Jesus' work and only through Jesus' work that man can come to know the True and Living God. Through knowing Him we are given life and purpose. Knowing God is the precious calling that we have been called to and our drive to share this truth is found in our love for our Saviour Jesus Christ. It is because of our love for Him that we do the things that we do.
Who we are
Ruth and I are just two young people
who love the Lord and both come from missionary families. We were married just this past October on the 13th
in Romania. Ruth has been living in Romania since she was four
and for the last seventeen years her and her family have been serving
the Lord there. As for me, Aden, I have been living in Ireland for
the last five years with my family as missionaries here. We are both
blessed to have been able to experience ministry and missions first
hand from an early age.
We met during our 2nd
semester of Calvary Chapel Bible College while at the Siegen, Germany
campus. Our relationship as friends was built through our time
leading worship together at the College. The Lord used our love of
worshiping Him to bring our hearts together. We started a
relationship at the end of our second semester, after which we had
two more blessed semesters together seeking the Lord and growing
closer to Him. We got engaged, due to God's beautiful timing and
provision, on February 4th in York, England, which is where we also
graduated together in the Spring of 2012. God's timing in everything
was perfect and it is exciting looking forward to what the Lord has
for us in the future.
God has given us a heart for Missions and our desire is to carry the Gospel wherever we go and to glorify the name of Jesus wherever He takes us. As our time in college was coming to an end, Ruth and I spent time daily praying about where the Lord wanted us to go after marriage and we felt that He was leading us to serve in Ireland for a time. However we are conscious of the fact that He may very well take us on to other places in the future. We are simply open to the Lord's leading in our lives and pray that we stay in that place.
What We are Doing
Since being married we have begun serving at Calvary Chapel Carrigaline, Ireland. This is the church that my family has been involved with for the last two and a half years. It is a great blessing to be able to be here and to help with the fellowship in Carrigaline. My parents Duke and Dawn Knepper, for the last two and a half years, have been working hard to keep things consistent and to simply maintain the ministry here. Being here we are able to take a lot of those extra tasks off their shoulders so that we as a team can not only maintain things but we can now focus more on individual ministries and help grow them and mature them. Ruth and I are weekly cleaning and maintaining the church building. We are in charge of the continual upkeep of the Church website, calvarycarrigaline.com. I have also been asked to head up the worship ministry that we have here in church. Along with these tasks Ruth and I are also regularly involved with the children's ministry and helping to point our youth to live a life pleasing to God.
We are excited about the work the Lord is doing in Ireland and are
blessed to able to come along side my parents and help them. We
really want to be here and do whatever needs doing. We know that the
Lord wants us here for a time and we are excited to see Him working
here. He has already provided for us in many ways and we have seen His hand
in drawing us here to Ireland.
Obviously, as a young missionary couple living in Ireland, we have to trust the Lord a lot to provide for us. Because of the immigration laws here in Ireland we are unable to work. Also, since we are second-generation missionaries we are in a different situation than when our families stepped out to be missionaries. Unlike our parents Ruth and I don't have a specific sending church. However despite our circumstances the Lord has turned our eyes time and time again to His Word that challenges us to trust in Him. He is the great provider and we know without a doubt that He will provide for us. We have seen His ability and our trust is in Him. If you desire to come alongside us and support us financially in any way, you can find out how to do so in the “Support Us” page of our website, but more than anything we need your support through prayer and encouragement. We are confident that the Lord has called us to Carrigaline and we know that He will provide for us.
Please keep in touch with us and check back frequently as we will do our best to keep you up to date with what is going on here in Ireland.
